ATHENS, Greece -- A tanker exploded at the Perama shipyard near Athens, killing at least eight people and injuring four on Thursday (July 24th), the merchant marine ministry said. Three others were reported missing in the fire that erupted onboard after the blast. Rescue teams are still searching the Panamanian-flagged tanker Friendshipgas for survivors. Police arrested two people Friday for allegedly failing to maintain safety standards.
