Coast Guard Recovered Drowned Victim’s Dead Body in Taytay, Rizal

Elements of Coast Guard Station Laguna de Bay recovered the dead body of Christian Jorali Dela Cruz, 6 years old and residing at Barangay San Juan, Taytay, Rizal on Septemeber 20, 2009 at 7:10 AM. The search and retrieval team found the victim surrounded by water lilies at approxiamately 50 meters away from the reported area where the drowning incident occurred.
Reports from CGS Laguna de Bay disclosed that relatives of the child victim reported the said incident on September 20, 2009 at 7:00 AM. Immediately, a Search and Retrieval team was dispatched onboard a multi-cab and proceeded to Kwatro Kantos Street, Brgy San Juan, Taytay Rizal to conduct search and retrieval operation. Upon arrival at the area, the team made coordination with the relatives of the victim to know the exact location of the drowned victim and immediately assumed surface and under water retrieval operation at the shoreline with Taytay Rescue team and civilian volunteers.
The cadaver was properly turned-over to his relatives and brought to funeral homes in Taytay Rizal for proper disposition.
Motorbanca King Jepoy Hits Floating Debris in Puerto Galera

Motorbanca King Jepoy 2 of 14.28 Gross Tonnage or 9.71 Net Tonnage, owned/operated by Mr Edgardo Ilagan, enroute from Sabang, Pueto Galera to Batangas with six (6) passengers onboard accidentally hit a floating debris while at vicinity waters off Sabang Bay approximately one (1) mile away from the shoreline on September 20, 2009 at 6:12 AM. The boat captain of the motobanca then decided to return to its port of origin.
Reports from Coast Guard Station Calapan disclosed that Mbca King Jepoy 2 arrived at Sabang Puerto Galera on September 20, 2009 at 6:25 AM and safely transferred all six (6) passengers, assisted by Coast Guard Detachment Puerto Galera to Mbca Renzo 2 Express and immediately sailed to Batangas and arrived safely at said area.The boat captain of Mbca King Jepoy 2 was advised to file a marine protest.
One Person Allegedly Hit by Lightning Strike Missing

An unidentified person onboard an unnamed motorized banca was allegedly hit by a lightning strike at vicinity Sitio Punta Luis, Brgy 100, Concepcion, Iloilo while enroute to Bangongon Island, Concepcion, Iloilo on September 19, 2009.
Reports from Coast Guard Station Iloilo disclosed that they received a telephone call from a certain Mr. Vincent Antiporda, Officer-in-Charge of Local Disaster Coordinating Council of Municipality of Concepcion, Iloilo reporting the said incident on September 19, 2009 at 7:15 AM.Local fisher folks tried to locate the victim with his relatives but the latter was nowhere to be found.
Immediately, personnel of CGS Iloilo conducted search and rescue operation along the said area but yielded negative result.
SAR team advised local fishermen and residents of nearest coastal barangays to be on the look of subject missing person and report immediately as soon as possible to the nearest Coast Guard Stations and Detachments or proper authority if sighted.
Collision Incident of Two (2) Jetskis in Boracay Island

Two jetskis collided with each other at vicinity 500 meters from the shoreline of Sitio Bolabog, Brgy Manoc-manoc, Boracay Island on September 19, 2009.
Reports from Coast Guard Station Caticlan disclosed that certain Roderick Onsignado, Office Manager of Diamond Seasport appeared to the station and reported the collision incident on September 19, 2009 at 7:10 PM.
Initial investigation conducted by personnel of CGS Caticlan to Xu Dong Wei a Chinese national, single, 27 years old, temporarily billeting at Sands Resort Hotel Boracay Island revealed that he rented the jetski of Diamond Seasport and while on its operation in the area, he accidentally hit/bumped jetski Fig-18, also owned by Diamond Seasport area at vicinity Sitio Bolabog, Brgy Balabag, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan resulting to the damages of said jetski.
Both parties agreed to settle amicably the damages incurred by the incident and Mr Xu Dong Wei paid the corresponding damages of the jetski FIG-18 in the amount of eighteen thousand pesos only (Php 18,000.00).
